Running log
Log races and training runs, pin your personal records to the board, and watch your 5K, 10K, half and marathon times move over months. No account: the whole log lives in this browser.
Your totals
Your first saved result unlocks the dashboard: PR bibs, trend lines, weekly mileage and a training-load check. Nothing to fill in yet? Load the sample data to see it working.
Personal records
A running log that stays on your phone
Most running log apps want an account, a subscription or a watch sync before they show you anything. RunLog Pro works the other way round: open the page, type a date, a distance and a finish time, and the dashboard fills in. Your entries are written to your browser’s local storage, so they are there next time you open the site on the same device, and they never touch a server.
What it tracks
- Personal records at 1 mile, 5K, 10K, half marathon and marathon, adjusted for small GPS distance differences.
- Time trends for each race distance, with a best-so-far line so you can see when a plateau started and ended.
- Weekly distance for the last 12 weeks, the backbone of any training log.
- VDOT from your best race, which sets training paces on the VDOT calculator.
Using it as a running log template
If you’ve been keeping a running spreadsheet, export format is the same idea: one row per session with date, type, distance in metres, time in seconds, event name and notes. Import your old sheet as CSV with those columns and your history is on the board in a second.
Planning the next race rather than reviewing the last? Convert a goal time into a pace with the pace calculator, check it against the race time predictor, and pick a pacing plan on the negative split calculator.
Questions runners ask
Is this running log really free with no account?
Yes. RunLog Pro has no sign-up. Every race and run you enter is saved in this browser’s local storage on your device, and nothing is sent to a server unless you press “Get my coach read”.
How are personal records worked out?
Any entry within 1.5% of a standard distance (1 mile, 5K, 10K, half marathon, marathon) counts toward that distance. Times are scaled to the exact distance, so a 5.04 km GPS reading is compared fairly with a certified 5.00 km course.
Can I move my log to another phone or computer?
Use “Export CSV” to download your log, then “Import CSV” on the other device. The file is plain text with date, type, distance in metres, time in seconds, name and notes, so it also opens in any spreadsheet.
What happens if I clear my browser data?
Your log is deleted with it, because it only lives on your device. Export a CSV now and then as a backup.
Should I log training runs or only races?
Both help. Races feed your PR board and trend lines; training runs feed weekly mileage and the training-load (acute:chronic) ratio, which warns you when a week jumps too far above your recent average.
